The aim of this paper is to identify and empirically examine the drivers of green transformation in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Europe. The analysis is based on data from Flash Eurobarometer 549, covering 36 countries, and considers various forms of external support?financial, advisory, and network-based. Cluster analysis and multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) are employed. The results indicate statistically significant differences between countries as well as across the identified clusters, confirming the key role of external factors, particularly financial and advisory support, while also revealing pronounced differences in terms of network support
