XXIX International Scientific Conference Strategic Management and Decision Support Systems in Strategic Management has the aim of promoting and developing high quality research of all aspects of strategic management, especially decision support systems in strategic management. The Conference is a forum for researchers and practitioners to interact, collaborate and develop the field of strategic management. The topic of this year’s Conference is "Corporate responsibility and sustainability issues in crisis circumstances".

The main topics of the conference are focused on, but not limited to the following areas: Agriculture, Accounting, Business Process Management, Business Intelligence Systems, Corporate Finance/Governance, Data Analytics, Digital Business, Econometrics, Economics of Innovation, Economic Growth and Development, Education Economics, Entrepreneurship, Environmental Economics, Emerging Economies, Energy Economics, Financial Economics, Gender Economics, Health Economics, Human Resources, Industrial Organization, International Finance, International Trade, Investment, Knowledge Economics, Labor Economics, Macroeconomics, Management, Microeconomics, Marketing, Monetary Economics, Political Economics, Public Economics, Risk Management, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SME), Tax Policies, Tourism Economics.

ORGANISATION

The Conference will comprise a plenary session, parallel sessions, and a poster session. The discussion at the plenary sessions is joined, while the parallel sessions will be organised around specific thematic areas. Before the poster sessions, the authors will be able to briefly present their posters in a specially organised plenary session.

Virtual participants will be able to present their papers at a designated time via a videoconferencing software.

  • SM2024 will be held on the premises of the Faculty of Economics in Subotica, at 9-11 Segedinski put, 24000 Subotica, Republic of Serbia.

Language

  • The official languages of the Conference will be English and Serbian.
    Important note: plenary and parallel sessions will be held in English, while panel discussions will be held in Serbian.
  • Please note that all papers must be submitted in English only.

  • Deadline for submission of full abstracts of up to 500 characters: 18 February 2024.
  • Information on the abstract acceptance: 29 February 2024.
  • Deadline for submission of print-ready papers: 31 March 2024.
  • Deadline for Information on paper acceptance: 22 April 2024.
  • Deadline for registration fee: 30 April 2024.
  • Conference SM2024: 17 – 18 May 2024.

*Note: Participants shall bear all bank transfer charges. Participation fees are paid per each participant taking part in the conference either directly, or virtually. Participants are cautioned to pay registration fee only after the paper has been accepted.

Registration is free for participants employed by organisations that have signed a cooperation agreement with the Faculty of Economics in Subotica, as well as participants employed by institutions co-organising the Conference.

Papers

Registration and submission of paper:

  • The plenary session papers, by invitation from the Conference organisers, should not exceed 10 A4 format pages and should be prepared in accordance with the instructions available at the Conference Web page. These papers will be included in the Conference Proceedings, in full.
  • Paper abstracts should be submitted electronically via filling out application form available at https://smreg.ef.uns.ac.rs/
  • Paper abstracts up to 500 characters must contain: clearly defined problem and research goals, concise described methodology, or methods applied in collecting, processing and analysing data, a short resume of results and primary conclusion.
  • After positive review, papers are to be submitted exclusively via Open Journal System (OJS). Authors of accepted abstracts will receive detail instructions regarding the submission process. Further communication related to paper review will be done through OJS. Papers submitted in any other way will not be taken into consideration.
  • Parallel session papers must be submitted within stated deadlines and must not exceed 10 pages A4 format. Papers should be prepared in line with Guidelines published on the Conference Web page.
  • All papers will be reviewed by two separate reviewers (members of the Scientific board). All accepted papers will be included in the Conference Proceedings, in full.

Publications

  • The SM2024 conference proceedings, published by the conference organiser, with ISBN and DOI identifiers, with all reviewed papers, which will be submitted for indexing to Conference Proceedings Citation (CPCI) service, a constituent part of Clarivate Analytics’ Web of Science.
  • Accepted and presented papers in English will be subject to additional review by the members of the Editorial Board and, upon positive reviews, with the authors’ consent, will be published in International Journal of Strategic Management, ISSN 1821-3448, indexed on Master Journal List in Emerging Sources Citation Index, a constituent part of Clarivate Analytics’ Web of Science. The International Journal of Strategic Management and Decision Support Systems in Strategic Management was categorized as М24 by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia for year 2022.
